The loss of 1/3 of the value of the car happens just leaving the lot the first day. You cannot only buy a cycle but all the leather protective gear you want plus more for less than the money you give for a car.
A bike plus helmet, jacket, boots, pants and gloves comes at not a low price but definitely lower than a car. Cycles that previously owned can be purchased for a mere $300.00. The lower amount of gas you use coupled with the low price of cycles makes them a great deal.
